Operational Risk Intmd Analyst

Role Overview: You will be responsible for analyzing large data sets to build reporting in Tableau Prep & Desktop, Excel, and/or PowerPoint for use in Governance committee or control forums. You will need to source relevant data from systems of record to deliver data files supporting Tableau and traditional PowerPoint reporting. Additionally, you will assess available data and reporting to identify trends, themes, and areas requiring stakeholder review through the team's reporting outputs. Your role will involve supporting the team in creating, implementing, and improving processes through efficiencies/automation. Moreover, your efforts will directly contribute to delivering metrics that are timely, of high quality, and subject to rigorous control. You will also be responsible for identifying and flagging discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in data and reports and adhering to best practices for data validation and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze large data sets to generate reporting in Tableau Prep & Desktop, Excel, and/or PowerPoint - Source relevant data from systems of record to deliver data files supporting Tableau and traditional PowerPoint reporting - Assess available data and reporting to identify trends, themes, and areas requiring stakeholder review - Support the team in creating, implementing, and improving processes through efficiencies/automation - Contribute to delivering metrics that are timely, high quality, and subject to rigorous control - Identify and flag discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in data and reports - Adhere to best practices for data validation and quality assurance Qualifications: - 2 to 5 years of experience in data analytics / data science, ideally in Risk, Compliance, Legal, or other control related functions within a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or a combination thereof - Excellent working knowledge of Excel, SharePoint, Tableau (minimum Intermediate level) and other database systems - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and adapt to change - Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization - Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively and independently and navigate a complex organization - Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Tableau - Project management skills - Risk and Control knowledge Note: The additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.,
