Job Title: Operation Theatre (OT) Manager

Department: Operation Theatre / Surgical Services
Reporting To: Nursing Superintendent / Director of Operations

Job Summary:

Responsible for overall management and coordination of Operation Theatres to ensure efficient scheduling, smooth surgical workflow, equipment readiness, infection control, and adherence to safety and NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule OT cases in coordination with surgeons and anesthetists.
• Supervise OT staff, technicians, and support teams.
• Ensure sterilization, infection control, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain surgical instruments, consumables, and OT inventory.
• Monitor OT utilization, turnaround time, and daily activity reports.
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and protocol adherence.
• Support audits, NABH compliance, and emergency preparedness.
• Conduct training sessions and performance evaluation for OT staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Sc / M.Sc Nursing or Diploma in OT Technology.
• 5+ years’ experience in OT management or supervisory role.
• Sound knowledge of OT protocols, instruments, and infection control.
