Job Title: OpenText Functional / Technical Consultant

Location: Hyderabad / Gurugram | Hybrid

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OpenTextFunctional / Technical Consultant with over 10 years of deep expertiseacross OpenText project implementations, upgrades, and support / BAUprojects . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-endOpenText functional and technical aspect of the system , including hands-onconfiguration, development, integration with PeopleSoft and / or other majorERP systems .

This is a pivotal role in deliveringdigital document and content management solutions that enhance enterpriseproductivity, compliance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and/or support full lifecycle OpenText support and implementation projects , including planning, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

Deliver technical and functional consulting across OpenText ECM (e.g., Content Suite, Extended ECM, Archive Center, OTDS, Brava, Blazon).

Manage end-to-end upgrade projects , ensuring smooth transitions with minimal business disruption.

Integrate OpenText solutions with PeopleSoft and other ERP platforms (e.g., Avature, SAP, Oracle) using APIs, web services, and middleware tools.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and developers to translate business requirements into scalable OpenText solutions.

Participate in ongoing support, maintenance, and BAU operations , including issue resolution, performance optimization, and user support.

Develop technical documentation , process flows, and user guides aligned with enterprise IT standards.

Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and business stakeholders.

Stay updated on OpenText product roadmap and recommend upgrades or improvements as needed.

Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

10+ years of experience in OpenText consulting , covering both functional and technical domains.

Proven track record in end-to-end OpenText implementations , including Content Suite, xECM, Archive Server, OTDS) .

Strong expertise in OpenText upgrades and patch management.

Hands-on experience in integrating OpenText with PeopleSoft ERP systems , including data/document flow and interface management.

Ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot OpenText workflows, metadata models, permissions, and user access.

Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

Desirable:

Experience integrating OpenText with Avature, SAP, Oracle, Workday , or other HRIS platforms.

Familiarity with OpenText Cloud Editions (CE) and migration strategies.

Working knowledge of .NET development will be a huge bonus.

Exposure to regulatory compliance and document retention policy configurations.
