1) Must have good knowledge of materials selection principles, corrosion mechanisms, material testing, corrosion assessments and corrosion control / mitigation strategies.
2) Familiar with international codes and standards, such as NACE MR0175, API 571, NACE, ASTM, API and other industry standards.
3) Responsible for preparing detailed reports on material selection (corrosion control documents, material selection diagram, etc.), review testing results, and corrosion management activities.
4) Responsible for providing expertise in material selection, corrosion prevention and its damage mechanism for various components and systems during the design phase of projects.
5) Responsible for investigating material failures and corrosion incidents to determine root causes and develop and recommend corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
Responsible for staying updated with advancements in material science and corrosion engineering and work collaboratively with SMEs, cross-functional teams, project managers and other stakeholders to develop and deploy materials, corrosion and coatings solutions.
