Opening Assistant Manager-Fire &Safety-Galleria Mall-Yelahanka

Key Responsibilities

1. Fire Safety Management

• Develop and implement fire safety policies, SOPs and emergency response procedures
• Conduct inspections of fire alarms, hydrants, sprinklers, extinguishers & suppression systems
• Ensure periodic testing, maintenance and AMC management for all fire systems
• Identify fire hazards and initiate corrective & preventive measures
• Implement NBC, Electrical and local statutory fire safety requirements

2. Safety Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with Fire Department norms and statutory regulations
• Maintain documentation, NOCs, certificates & licenses
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors including BSC and ISO
• Support implementation of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements

3. Emergency Preparedness

• Conduct fire drills, evacuation drills and mock emergency simulations
• Form and train Emergency Response Teams, Fire Wardens & Floor Marshals
• Lead investigation of incidents/near misses, prepare reports & CAPA

4. Training & Awareness

• Conduct training programs for employees, contractors & service partners
• Organize safety campaigns, toolbox talks and awareness sessions
• Ensure competency of security, housekeeping & technical staff

5. Risk Assessment & Mitigation

• Carry out Fire Risk Assessments & recommend improvement plans
• Monitor high-risk areas (electrical rooms, kitchens, UPS rooms, etc.)
• Ensure closure of safety observations, NCRs and audit findings

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Liaise with Fire Department & statutory authorities for inspections & renewals
• Submit daily/weekly/monthly Fire Safety reports to management
• Participate in internal/external audits (BSC, ISO, regulatory bodies)
• Provide risk-based improvement recommendations

Required Experience & Skills

• Fire & Safety Management 10 to 15 years
• Strong knowledge of commercial building fire systems
• Hands-on experience with fire audits & statutory regulations
• Experience in NBC, NFPA standards & emergency planning
• ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 implementation exposure (preferred)
• BSC, Safety audit experience (preferred)
