About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior On-Ground Reporter to help us bring ScoopWhoop stories to life. If you’ve got around a year of reporting or video content experience, love chasing stories, and want to grow into a sharp digital-first journalist, this is the gig for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Research stories that are exciting, topical, or quirky and worth telling.
  • Script and prep for shoots in collaboration with producers.
  • Cover stories on-ground in Delhi/Mumbai from pop culture to social issues.
  • Coordinate with external producers/journalists when the stories are happening outside your city.
  • Work closely with editors to make sure the final video captures the story’s tone and voice.
  • Deliver videos on time, every time.

What We’re Looking For

  • Around 1 year of experience in reporting, digital video, or journalism (internships count).
  • Solid writing skills - able to script crisp, engaging content.
  • Comfortable being on-ground, asking questions, and chasing leads.
  • Good coordination and communication - willing to hustle with editors, producers, and external teams.
  • Basic camera/sound skills (but not mandatory).
