Key Responsibilities: · Perform detailed checks of shop and erection drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design intent. · Review 3D models to verify correct geometry, connections, and part placement. · Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AISC, CISC) and client-specific requirements. · Ensure all work adheres to 3D Engineering’s Quality Management System (QMS) standards. · Assist in reviewing and providing feedback to improve QMS procedures and documentation. · Identify and document errors, omissions, and discrepancies, and communicate corrections clearly to the detailing/ modelling team. · Write and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design issues or resolve conflicts in the contract documents. · Coordinate with project managers, detailers, and modelers to resolve complex technical issues. · Track and verify incorporation of redlines and revisions. · Support quality assurance (QA) processes and contribute to continuous improvement of checking procedures and Maintain consistent documentation of review findings and communicate risks or concerns to senior staff. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Accuracy and quality of checked drawings and models. Timely completion of checking tasks within project schedules. Reduction in rework and field issues due to drawing/model errors. Effectiveness in communicating corrections and coordinating with the team. Contribution to improving internal checking standards and workflows.
