Since 2016 we provide NGO/MIS solutions, community data collection, project management, annual & project reporting, and donor-facing content. Our FPOSoft product supports producer collectives (Farmer Producer Organizations, Self Help Groups) in business planning and reporting.

SocialWell seeks two (2) qualified translators with experience and portfolio with reputed nonprofits and companies for translation from English to Odia.

Role Description

This is a contract remote role for Odia Translators. As an Odia Translator, you will be responsible for translating a variety of documents, websites, and other content from English to Odia. Your day-to-day tasks will include researching context and terminology, ensuring accuracy and consistency in translations, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the cultural nuances of both languages. You will also collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in both Odia and English languages, with excellent writing skills in both
• Strong research and terminology management skills
• Experience with translation tools and software
• Attention to detail and accuracy in translations
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Experience in translating various content types, including legal, technical, and marketing materials
• Understanding of cultural nuances and differences between the languages
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field is a plus
