Ocean Gateway Manager, Indonesia

As the Ocean Gateway Manager for Indonesia at Flexport, you play a crucial role in simplifying global trade for all stakeholders. Your responsibilities include creating and managing a new operational model to support clients in achieving their logistics objectives. Collaborating with various teams and stakeholders is essential to ensure seamless shipment movement and exceptional customer service. You will also drive operational improvements and uphold high standards of quality delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Expertly execute end-to-end movement of Ocean FCL and LCL shipments for imports and exports within the regional network. - Build and manage the operational performance framework, processes, and tools for overseeing partner performance in the Indonesia market. - Act as the primary relationship manager for internal and external stakeholders, including partners, ocean carriers, trucking providers, and account management teams. - Recruit, train, and develop a team responsible for managing Ocean FCL and LCL shipments within the gateway. - Design operational processes and infrastructure to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery while enhancing the customer experience. - Recommend supply chain solutions to clients, prepare internal teams for Indonesia export and import opportunities, and maintain quality consistency with partners. - Identify gaps, develop solutions for process standardization and training, and establish metrics for the team's performance. - Provide leadership, guidance, and career development opportunities to the team while collaborating with Account Management to meet client needs. - Act as a strategic consultant to global counterparts, product & engineering teams, and operations excellence team on ocean supply chain operations. Qualifications Required: - BA/BS degree with 8-10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, and ocean carrier operations. - MA/MS degree in a business or logistics-related field is a plus. - Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English. - Ability to lead teams, manage end-to-end shipments, and implement cross-functional processes. - Strong strategic vision, problem-solving skills, and client-oriented mindset. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. - Willingness to challenge the status quo and lead industry talent development.,
