Nutanix Systems Engineer - Contract

Systems Engineer Nutanix:

Job Duties:

• Consultant shall provide Support Services for GTP Enterprise Compute. Consultant will provide a project team to support the current activities:

• Provide addition capacity and support to L2 & L3 team activities.

• Respond to and resolve tickets routed by Walmart.

• Participate in on-call rotations to include both weekly and weekend support as schedule dictates by Walmart.

• Monitor ad hoc requested from Home Office Team

• Assist in VMWare and Nutanix design and operations.

• Required Experience

• Expertise with hypervisors such as VMWare and Nutanix in an enterprise environment

• Familiar with in containerization with Docker and Kubernetes

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

• Working knowledge of Python programming skills, including debugging, multi-processing, and async programming

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus and Grafana

• Nutanix APIS

• 3+ years of experience with virtualization technologies, preferably with Nutanix Acropolis (also known as Nutanix AOS)

• Strong understanding of VMware and ability to transition to Nutanix Acropolis

• Generalist skills with Linux or Windows, VMware, and hardware support

• Ability to coordinate support with third-party vendors and OEM

• Some scripting knowledge, preferably in PowerShell or Python

• Ability to support a mix of Linux and Windows environments, as well as VMware and Citrix

• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with hardware components and models

• Familiarity with third-party vendor management and OEM support processes
