Nutanix L3 Administrator

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Troubleshooting:

  Handle escalated issues from L1 and L2 teams, providing in-depth analysis and resolution for critical technical problems.

• Infrastructure Management:

  Administer and maintain Nutanix environments, including Prism, AHV, Nutanix Storage, and Nutanix Cloud Platform.

• Performance Optimization:

  Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of Nutanix infrastructure.

• Virtualization Expertise:

  Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware, AHV, and Hyper-V integrated with Nutanix solutions.

• Cloud Integration:

  Work on hybrid cloud setups, integrating Nutanix with public cloud platforms and ensuring seamless operations.

• Automation & Scripting:

  Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to implement and support Nutanix solutions.

• Security Compliance:

  Ensure the Nutanix environment adheres to organizational security policies and compliance standards.

• Training & Mentorship:

  Provide guidance and training to L1 and L2 teams to enhance their technical capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:

  In-depth knowledge of Nutanix products (Prism, AHV, Nutanix Storage, Nutanix Cloud Platform).

• Virtualization Proficiency:

  Strong experience with VMware, AHV, and Hyper-V.

• Problem-Solving Skills:

  Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

• Scripting Knowledge:

  Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Cloud Knowledge:

  Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.

• Experience:

  6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in Nutanix administration.

• Certifications (Preferred):

  Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent certifications.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
