Job Description

As the Ward Supervisor, your role is crucial in overseeing the administrative and clinical activities of the ward/floor. Your responsibilities include: - Directing and supervising administrative and clinical activities of the ward/floor. - Completing patient care requirements by scheduling nurse shifts, assigning nurses to patients, and ensuring nursing operational standards are met. - Maintaining quality assurance of nursing documentation and patient records. - Ensuring proper mentorship systems are in place for patient allocation. - Verifying patient indents/refunds and ensuring safe storage of medications. - Supervising incident reporting and adherence to protocols for medication administration. - Ensuring all nursing personnel adhere to standard precautions, hand hygiene guidelines, safe linen management practices, and proper disposal of biomedical waste. - Coordinating patient placement for optimal utilization of beds and equipment based on patient care needs. - Communicating with designated medical staff regarding patient management. - Participating in direct patient care, supporting staff, and promoting evidence-based practice. - Assisting in identifying and reporting accidents and incidents, as well as coordinating patient care and related duties. - Collaborating with the Nursing Director to obtain necessary resources and facilitating staff supervision and teaching. Additionally, you will participate in direct patient care, maintain patient records accurately, facilitate staff orientation, and stay updated with relevant clinical developments. You will also be involved in handling complaints and participating in clinical supervision programs. Please note that this is a full-time position with in-person work location.,
