NPD Industrialization Engineer

Job Title

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead industrialization activities for new product introductions from prototype to mass production

Translate product design specifications into manufacturable processes, tools, and equipment Plan and execute process validation, pilot runs, and production readiness reviews

Develop and optimize assembly processes, layouts, work instructions and SOPs

Identify and specify jigs, fixtures, test equipment, and automation requirements

Support supplier development and qualification for critical components and outsourced processes

Drive DFM/DFA reviews with engineering teams to improve manufacturability

Analyze production data to improve cycle time, yield, and cost before and after launch

Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements during industrialization

Document lessons learned and implement continuous improvements for future launches

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production or Manufacturing Engineering

Knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, plastics, sheet metal, electronics, etc.)

Hands-on experience with process validation, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC

Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and PLM tools

Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma exposure is a plus

Excellent problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills
