NPD Engineer

As an Engineer NPD at our company, you will be responsible for planning and developing new products according to customer requirements. Your role will involve managing multiple projects and providing guidance to engineering teams to deliver innovative and high-quality products. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing plastic products from start to finish, with a focus on injection molding, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Bill of Materials (BOM) management. You will also lead tool design, estimate tool costs, oversee mold manufacturing, and ensure successful tool commissioning. In this role, you will conduct trials, troubleshoot molding issues such as shrinkage, deformation, and cycle time, and establish molding parameters. Collaboration with tooling vendors, selection of appropriate molding machines, and auxiliary equipment will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will review engineering documentation, pilot samples, and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations. Implementing innovative solutions for product and process improvement will be a key focus area. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience in product development and process engineering in plastics and die casting. Skills in tool building, Insert/Co-Molding, and managing long molding cycles are essential. Familiarity with stage-gate development processes, quality assurance/compliance, and production planning is also required. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills will be beneficial for success in this role. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires in-person work at our location.,
