Job Description

Role Overview

  • Build, optimize, and maintain server-rendered React apps using Next.js, with robust Node.js APIs and services.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and DevOps to ship fast, reliable features with a strong focus on performance and DX.
  • Own end-to-end modules: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop SSR/SSG Next.js apps with clean, modular React code and TypeScript.
  • Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js with secure authentication and authorization.
  • Integrate with databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB) and caching layers (Redis) for scale and reliability.
  • Improve performance (Core Web Vitals, code-splitting, edge rendering) and CI/CD workflows.
  • Write automated tests (unit/integration) and maintain high code quality with reviews and linting.


Requirements

  • 2+ years professional experience with Node.js and React, including production Next.js projects.
  • Strong grasp of TypeScript, API design, and async patterns.
  • Experience with databases, ORMs (Prisma/TypeORM), and Redis-based caching.
  • Familiarity with authentication (JWT/OAuth), security best practices, and API rate limiting.
  • Comfort with Git, CI/CD, and cloud deployment (Vercel/Node hosts/containers).


Nice to Have

  • Experience with edge functions, server actions, or app router in Next.js.
  • Exposure to microservices, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), or event-driven patterns.
  • Knowledge of monitoring/logging (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, ELK) and infra-as-code.
