Job Description: Node.js Intern (2-Month Contract)

About the Role

We are looking for a Node.js Intern who can support our backend engineering team for the next 2 months. This is a hands-on role where you will work on real production features, APIs, and microservices.
You will get direct mentorship, exposure to scalable systems, and the opportunity to build for real users.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend APIs using Node.js + Express/Nest
• Work with MongoDB / PostgreSQL for data modeling and queries
• Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks
• Debug, optimize, and improve existing backend code
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code
• Collaborate with frontend/AI team members for feature integrations
• Assist in deployment & testing in Heroku / Render / DigitalOcean / AWS

Requirements

• Strong understanding of JavaScript & Node.js fundamentals
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON
• Familiarity with databases (MongoDB or PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Git & GitHub
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn fast and work independently

Bonus Skills (Not mandatory but good to have)

• Experience with TypeScript
• Knowledge of Shopify APIs, webhooks, or GraphQL
• Understanding of background jobs (BullMQ/Queues)
• Basics of Docker
• Experience building personal projects or contributing to open-source
