Role Description

SkillzenLoop is looking for a backend-focused Node.js Developer Intern who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance server-side applications. In this role, you will help develop the engine behind our web platforms, focusing on building robust APIs and handling real-time data processing. This is a fast-paced internship designed to help you master asynchronous programming and backend architecture.

Primary Responsibilities

• API Development: Assist in building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Node.js and frameworks like Express.js or Fastify.

• Asynchronous Programming: Write efficient, non-blocking code to handle concurrent requests and improve system responsiveness.

• Database Integration: Help integrate applications with databases like MongoDB (NoSQL) or PostgreSQL (SQL) using ORMs/ODMs like Mongoose or Sequelize.

• Security & Authentication: Support the implementation of user authentication and data protection measures (e.g., JWT, OAuth).

• Testing: Write unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest or Mocha to ensure code reliability and stability.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and a solid understanding of Node.js core modules and the event-driven architecture.

• Web Knowledge: Familiarity with HTTP protocols, JSON data structures, and how the web works under the hood.

• Tools: Basic experience with Git for version control and package managers like npm or yarn.

• Problem Solving: Ability to debug complex logic and a strong interest in learning backend system design.
