Job Description

As a Voice NOC & Technical Assistance Center (VOIP-Telecom) specialist, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end support for telecom services, handling escalations for complex issues related to VoIP services, toll-free numbers, and various carrier/vendor issues. Your role will involve supporting and managing commercial voice services like Hosted PBX, SIP Trunking, PRI, Toll-Free Services, Long Distance, and Audio Conferencing. Your expertise in IP/SS7 protocols, telecom equipment such as SBCs and NGN, and troubleshooting skills utilizing Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), CCNA Voice, and CCNP Voice knowledge will be crucial for resolving technical issues efficiently. You will troubleshoot various VoIP call issues like ASR, ACD, PDD, Dead Air, DTMF, codec mismatches, One-Way Audio, Voice Quality, DID, and Toll-Free issues. Monitoring and managing alarms across network entities, performing proactive network monitoring, and troubleshooting on Dialogic NGN, Sansay, Acme/Oracle SBCs, Cisco ONS, and other telecom equipment will be part of your daily tasks. Collaborating with vendors and carriers on T1/T3 TDM circuits and conducting testing on transport layers will also be essential aspects of your role. In addition, you will investigate and resolve fraud-related issues, provide escalation support for other teams, update customers on ticket statuses, and ensure timely resolutions within agreed SLAs. Regular follow-ups with vendors, troubleshooting VoIP phone features, assisting with Toll-Free and Calling Card issues, and maintaining a proactive approach to network monitoring to minimize service disruptions are key responsibilities. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to learn and adapt to multiple internal applications and tools, strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills, and the capability to clearly communicate network issues and resolution efforts. You should also be prepared to work in a 24/7 environment to address any network-related issues promptly.
