Role Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to newborns and infants in the NICU.
• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor vital signs of patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide support and education to families regarding newborn care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment for patient monitoring.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations within the NICU.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions.
• Adhere to infection control standards and safety guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
• Assist with feeding and other daily care routines for infants.
• Educate parents on NICU processes, care strategies, and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient recovery and report changes to the medical team.
• Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure a safe environment.
• Provide emotional support to families during challenging times.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Nursing license in India.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU or pediatric unit.
• Strong knowledge of neonatal standards of care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to assess and respond to changing patient conditions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Commitment to continued education and professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in nursing.
• Willingness to participate in training and certifications relevant to NICU care.
