We are seeking a skilled Network & Systems Engineer to manage and support our IT infrastructure across on-premises and client environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in server assembly, configuration, maintenance, and IT networking, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems used in industrial and AI-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Server Setup & Maintenance
- Assemble, install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
- Configure RAID, storage, and backup solutions.
- Apply regular patches, updates, and performance tuning.
- Implement and monitor disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
Networking & Security
- Configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Manage LAN/WAN, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and IP addressing.
- Ensure secure network connectivity between IT and OT environments.
- Implement and monitor firewall policies, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
System Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Proactively monitor servers and networks for performance and uptime.
- Resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
- Maintain logs, documentation, and compliance reports.
Virtualization & Cloud
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox).
- Support cloud integration (AWS, Azure, or GCP) when required.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with internal operations, deployment, and DevOps teams.
- Support client-site server/network configurations during deployments.
- Provide training and documentation for system usage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 3 6 years of hands-on experience in server administration and networking.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V, and RAID.
- Proven experience in configuring switches, routers, firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto), and VPNs.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, SolarWinds).
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
