Network Service Design

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Service Solution Designer with 8 to 15 years of experience in Telecom Domain. The ideal candidate will have a will be able to focus on designing end to end service journeys where network platform and its capabilities are offered as services to the internal and external users. Service Solution Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping how network functions are exposed, consumed, and assured across the organization. This role demands good understanding of network design and OSS systems, as well as the ability to lead practice growth initiatives, collaborate with senior leadership, and provide thought leadership in the telecom domain.

• Design and implement Service Solution Designs working closely with Network team, product managers, Architects, Operations and IT teams aligning with organizational goals and client requirements.

• Translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive service offerings aligned with user needs and business goals.

• Ensure service designs align and covers ITIL processes for the service being offered.

• Needs understanding of discovery, collections, inventory, and automation product integrations.

• Understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SDN/NFV and Network Security technologies

• Provide hands-on expertise in data modelling, UML, and integration patterns.

• Bridge the gap between business objectives and IT/technology delivery, ensuring seamless integration and value realization.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to bring thought leadership and help strengthen the Telecom practice.

• Participate in business development initiatives by identifying growth opportunities and assisting with capability building.

Day-to-day tasks:

Perform the following / part of the activities on a daily basis.

• Requirements Management

• New requirement discussions with Business Stakeholders, Product Managers and Product Owners.

• Conducting or contributing to requirement grooming sessions with delivery squads.

• Running requirement elicitation meetings with Technology and Operations teams.

• Capturing functional and non-functional requirements based on current scope.

• Managing requirements prioritization using MOSCOW / WSJF frameworks.

• Accepting story closures based on operational acceptance, sprint demo and definition of done.

• Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Engage with business stakeholders and understand the business requirements through mutual dialogue, workshops etc.

• Analyse and qualify requirements.

• Identify gaps in as-is and to-be state

• Align the business requirements with IT delivery.

• Ensure coherence between all business and technology stakeholders.

• Document service description and design service solution.

• Process & Customer Journey discussions

• Conducting Process walkthrough discussions with Engineering / Operations and Service Users.

• Creating Customer Journey flows for key User Personas.

• Scrum Ceremonies

• Attending and contributing to daily stand-up meetings with delivery squads.

• Participating and contributing to Sprint and PI Planning meetings.

• Participating and contributing to Requirement Grooming sessions.

• Participating and contributing to Sprint Retrospective meetings.

• Participating and providing feedback in Show and Tell sessions.

• Spearhead new initiatives, right from conceptualization to POC.

• Participate in ideation discussions.

• Present the idea to senior management.

• Work on business scenario modelling and use case identification.

• Work with development/delivery teams to get the POC built.

• Participate in sales/business growth initiatives

• Support the sales teams in presales/solution consulting.

• Take up leadership roles in the unit and help build the unit.
