Role & responsibilities Manage and monitor security infrastructure such as firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and proxy servers. Respond to and resolve L2-level network security incidents and service requests. Analyze logs and security alerts to identify threats or vulnerabilities. Maintain and apply security policies, standards, and guidelines. Work closely with L1 teams to support escalation processes and ensure timely resolution. Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network security devices. Participate in vulnerability and risk assessments. Coordinate with vendors for support and service updates. Preferred candidate profile 3+ years of experience in network or cybersecurity roles, with at least 12 years in an L2 position. Strong knowledge of firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA). Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM). Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, etc.). Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Certifications such as CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE4, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, CEH, CompTIA Security+ . Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and next-gen firewalls. Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
