About the Role We are looking for a NetOps Automation Engineer to be part of an innovative team on a continuous mission of building bulletproof, scalable, and secure private and public cloud environments for our customers and users. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for architecting, designing, documenting, and implementing comprehensive platform solutions using industry best practices. Your Area of Focus Lead on-prem and cloud projects from the technical engineering perspective. Manage the development of complex automation solutions to work with existing and new network technologies such as switches, routers, and firewalls on-prem and cloud (GCP/AWS) Mentor fellow NetOps Engineers on automation techniques and best practices Implement products, platforms, software, hardware, or appliance-based solutions related to applications, network, and network security Perform system and network maintenance, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations Development, configuration, implementation, and testing of multiple network platforms to streamline network operations Monitor the infrastructure and network by responding appropriately to alerts and events Manage Windows systems (On-prem/GCP) Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services Provide data center support where appropriate Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues Participate in on-call rotation Responsible for up-time and performance SLAs Partner with InfoSec, IT, DevOps, and SDE teams. Your Professional Qualifications 5+ years of experience in system and network configuration, installation, and troubleshooting Must have an understanding of open-source and other tools to assist in maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis Must be very experienced in various platforms VMWare, Windows Server Clustering, Cisco, F5, Dell Blades Must be experienced in iSCSI / NFS / SAN Storage (Purestorage, NetApp) Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills Must be proficient in various automation languages and technologies. For example, Powershell, Ansible, Terraform, Python Expert in Windows OS management Understanding of data center, backbone network design, products, protocols
