Network Markets Specialist

• To be go to person for GM business in GIFT onshore as well as for the teams in GSC / Third Party.
• Ensure Operations activities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations and Global Mandatory Practices.
• Work with the team lead in GIFT City to keep aged Risk Indicator items under check. Where required collaborate with concerned team to bring traction and closure.
• Work with the team lead to ensure compliance to regulations by developing good understanding of regulations and laws as mandated by IFSCA, SEBI, RBI, and other authorities.
• Carry out responsibilities of Third Party Engagement Manager. Ensure periodic review with various Third Party teams supporting GIFT City. Represent MSS Operations in various governance forum.
• Coach and develop other staff in the team. Guide them through available learning material to develop their skills.
• Where responsible, ensure all regulatory reporting are performed within expected timelines.
• Provide suggestions and assist in streamlining processes and workflows.
• Participate in new product and system related discussion and be Operations face in such discussion.
• Build and display culture of speak up and timely escalation.
• Role holder should be comfortable to operate in a matrix organisation.
• Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy
• Timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
• Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer.
• To thoroughly understand financial products / derivatives with particular reference to operations, settlements, documentation and risk management in the context of the regulatory environment and Group objectives.
• Role holder should constantly review existing procedures & processes & streamline them in the benefits of higher throughput, accuracy and control.

Experience and Educational Qualification - Role holder should carry an experience of 4 years and should be a Post graduate. CA or Masters in relevant stream will be an added benefit

Role holder needs to bring in a sharp risk and control mentality to work.

The thinking challenge in the job is to suggest ways to streamline workflows to cut processing time without compromising on controls.
