Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to help architect, secure, and optimize our infrastructure for next-generation Web3, crypto, and metaverse applications. You will work closely with blockchain developers, cloud architects, and cybersecurity teams to build highly available, low-latency, and secure decentralized networks.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building the network foundation of immersive digital worlds, decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, and tokenized ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage scalable and secure networking infrastructure for blockchain nodes, decentralized applications (dApps), and metaverse platforms.
• Optimize peer-to-peer (P2P) networking performance for real-time interactions in decentralized environments.
• Implement secure communication protocols (TLS, VPNs, firewalls) and DDoS mitigation strategies.
• Configure and monitor blockchain node networking (Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, etc.) for performance and uptime.
• Collaborate with DevOps and backend teams to deploy infrastructure on cloud and edge platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Akash, etc.).
• Set up and manage IPFS, libp2p, and other decentralized storage and networking technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across distributed systems.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and blockchain-specific network requirements.
• Research and implement emerging networking technologies relevant to Web3 and immersive environments (e.g., 5G, edge computing, decentralized VPNs).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, GCP VPC, Azure Virtual Networks).
• Familiarity with blockchain node architecture and decentralized network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, proxies, NAT, and load balancers.
• Working knowledge of tools like Wireshark, Nmap, Netcat, and performance monitoring solutions.
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with blockchain networks (Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, etc.) and Web3 stacks.
• Understanding of decentralized storage (IPFS, Arweave), DNS alternatives (ENS, Handshake), and P2P networks.
• Familiarity with container networking (Docker, Kubernetes, CNI plugins).
• Experience with edge computing and low-latency streaming in immersive/3D environments.
• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, AWS Networking Specialty, or equivalent.
