Role Overview: As a Network Engineer (Cisco SD Access), your role is crucial in ensuring the robustness, security, and efficient management of the organization's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting Cisco's Software-Defined Access (SD-Access) architecture, centralizing network resource management, and enhancing security policies. Your tasks will include not only deployment but also optimization of SD-Access components to adapt to future technological advancements. Collaborating within teams, you will drive projects to enhance connectivity, improve user experience, and minimize outages. Your innovative solutions and operational excellence will align technical capabilities with business objectives, making you a key player in the organization's networking needs. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement Cisco SD Access to enhance network segmentation. - Lead troubleshooting efforts for network issues and connectivity challenges. - Monitor and optimize network performance using various tools. - Manage and secure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. - Configure and maintain LAN and WAN connectivity. - Implement routing protocols and maintain configurations for efficiency. - Collaborate with security teams to enforce network policies. - Conduct regular network assessments and audits to improve security measures. - Incorporate industry best practices in network design. - Work with cross-functional teams on network-related projects. - Document network configurations, changes, and operational procedures. - Provide support for network-related incidents and requests. - Mentor junior staff on network systems. - Generate reports on network performance, access trends, and resource utilization. - Stay updated on networking and security technologies. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering focused on Cisco environments. - Extensive knowledge of Cisco SD-Access implementation and management. - Hands-on experience with routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification. - Experience with network security protocols and technologies. - Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG. - Expertise in VLANs, subnets, and IP addressing schemes. - Understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) and its implementation. - Relevant experience with VPN and firewall configurations. - Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex network issues. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Willingness to stay updated on evolving networking technologies. - Experience in using ticketing systems for network support tasks. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.,
