Network Engineer - Media Optimization Specialist

Role Overview: As a Network Media Optimization Specialist at TELUS Digital, you will play a crucial role in developing and enforcing MO policies and procedures, performing audits and vulnerability assessments, troubleshooting complex network issues, creating and maintaining documentation for MO configurations and processes, developing scripts and automation tools for firewall management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure network security aligns with business objectives. You will also stay updated with the latest security threats and mitigation techniques to enhance network operations. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and enforce MO policies and procedures - Perform regular audits and vulnerability assessments - Troubleshoot complex network issues - Create and maintain documentation for MO configurations and processes - Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline firewall management and reporting - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security aligns with business objectives - Stay current with the latest security threats and mitigation techniques Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - 5+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on firewall management - Advanced/excellent knowledge and understanding of: - Unix/Linux - Wireless Telecommunications - Openstack Infrastructure - OpenShift OpenWave - Change Management - Project Management - Experience with packet capturing tools (e.g., NetScout, Wireshark, etc) - Understanding of protocols, including but not limited to: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTPS, Radius, LDAP - Experience with HP hardware - Great Knowledge of Cisco NEXUS 9k switches Additional Details: TELUS Digital enables customer experience innovation through teamwork, agile thinking, and a customer-first culture.
