Job Description

Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing software related to internet traffic engineering technologies. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining public and private REST APIs, supporting team technologies, bridging automation gaps, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Your dedication to continuous learning and innovation will contribute to the success of high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop software focusing on internet traffic engineering technologies such as CDNs, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions. - Build new platform technologies from the ground up, ensuring high code and quality standards. - Develop and maintain public and private REST APIs while providing timely support for team technologies. - Write and maintain scripts to enhance automation and improve service quality. - Continuously learn new skills and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong understanding of internet and intranet traffic engineering, OSI Layers & Protocols, DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and TCP/HTTP processing. - Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL, Kubernetes, PCF, Jenkins, Chef, and related platforms. - Knowledgeable in cloud-native and multi-tiered applications development. - Experience with programming around Network services, Domain Nameservers, DHCP, and IPAM solutions. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, GitOps, and related best practices. - Ability to write and maintain automation scripts to drive efficiency and innovation.,
