Network Engineer | ISP

As a Technical Support Engineer at Vitelglobal Communications Pvt Ltd, you will be responsible for providing technical support for VoIP-related issues to customers via phone calls and emails. You will diagnose and resolve various VoIP problems such as call quality issues, connectivity problems, and configuration errors. Additionally, you will assist customers with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of VoIP systems. Your role will involve monitoring and maintaining the VoIP infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime. You will collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. It is essential to document and track customer interactions and technical issues in the support ticketing system. Regular system checks and preventative maintenance will be conducted to prevent service interruptions. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a VoIP Engineer or in a similar technical support role is required. A strong understanding of VoIP protocols and technologies such as SIP, RTP, and H.323 is essential. Experience with VoIP hardware and software, including PBX systems, IP phones, and softphones, is preferred. Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies like TCP/IP, routers, switches, and firewalls is beneficial. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are crucial for this position. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to effectively interact with customers and internal teams. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team and have a customer-focused approach to provide high-quality support. Certification in VoIP technologies such as CCNA Voice or CCNP Collaboration is a plus. Experience with VoIP service providers and cloud-based VoIP solutions is advantageous. Knowledge of network security practices and protocols will be beneficial in this role.
