Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
  
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages, and provide timely resolutions.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and upgrades.
  
• Implement and manage network security measures (firewalls, access controls, etc.).
  
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
  
• Manage network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  
• Evaluate and recommend improvements for network performance and scalability.
  
• Work with vendors and ISPs for issue resolution and service improvements.
  
• Participate in on-call rotation for network-related support.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Cisco/Juniper devices and network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
  
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
  
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
  
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
  
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  
• Strong understanding of VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL).
  
• Ability to script or automate tasks using Python, Bash, or similar.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, JNCIP, or equivalent.
  
• Prior experience in enterprise or data center network environments.
