About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team at TCS. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to troubleshoot complex network issues, support network security protocols, and implement remote access solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in routing, switching, and firewall management, particularly with Palo Alto devices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects and develop advanced skills in network administration and support.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in network engineering or related fields. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), or equivalent are highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in routing, switching, and firewall management, along with experience supporting WAN and LAN connectivity. Strong knowledge of remote access solutions, DNS/DHCP, and command-line interfaces is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and clients, and a customer-focused approach are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support organizational needs.
- Provide technical support for networking components including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Manage and support remote access solutions such as IPSEC VPN to facilitate secure connectivity for remote users.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from monitoring systems or customer requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and service tickets.
- Collaborate with vendors and support teams to resolve complex network issues and implement upgrades.
- Perform regular network administrative duties on-site, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding network status, outages, or potential problems.
- Escalate issues requiring higher-level support to ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of network support processes and procedures.
- Maintain security standards and implement best practices to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members as needed.
