Network Engineer

Role Overview: As a Network Engineer/Network Administrator with over 3 years of experience, you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and supporting the network infrastructure of our company in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Your responsibilities will include managing local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance and security. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. - Monitor network performance, conduct system tuning, and ensure high availability. - Configure, install, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware. - Handle network troubleshooting, fault analysis, and performance issues. - Maintain and update network documentation, topology diagrams, and inventory. - Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and security policies. - Manage IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VLANs. - Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support system upgrades and implementations. - Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network management. - Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and routing/switching. - Experience with Cisco/Juniper devices and firewalls. - Familiar with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios. - Good understanding of network security and access control. Additional Details: - Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred. - Experience with cloud networking (Azure/AWS) is an added advantage. - Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash) for network automation is a plus.
