Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop a culture and policy for Viacon data management and data protection.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate IT policies and procedures. (from company data policy to all IT policies like tool assignations, drive and others).
• Ensure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems so that they operate effectively.
• Develop and audit criteria and policies around vendor management to select and purchase hardware and software, when necessary (desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, network equipment, leased line, firewall, anti-virus etc.).
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and or improving the efficiency of current networks.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
• Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Arranging scheduled upgrades.
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
• Ensure the security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
• Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment.
• Conducting periodical trainings and roll out manuals to educate the end users or employees on various hardware and software usage.
• Resolving IT tickets raised by staff within defined TAT.
• Maintains the organizations effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies
• Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.
• Managing replacement and depreciation of IT assets and strategize sale of scrap.
• Coordinating with vendors for various API integrations and maintenance of existing ERP system.
• Accountable for organizational internal and external IT audits.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field additionally at least 1 certification CCNA / CCNP / MCSA / MCSE / ITIL / PMP / Prince2 will be preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a technology advisory or IT management role.

Skills & Competencies

• Thorough Windows Server and Cloud Server knowledge in installs & migrations, Microsoft (Zoho Cloud and Microsoft servers, Office 365 migration, Windows Server advanced knowledge, General IT knowledge).
• Good understanding of networking & networked devices in a live networking environment, understands DHCP, WIFI Networking all too well.
• Good understanding of hardware specification and purchasing related to standard IT or Microsoft products such as anti-virus, Windows PC’s, all licensing on Business PC Users, etc.
• Good understanding of Virtualization, Network Administration, Desktop/Workstation Administration Office 365, Cisco Switches, and firewalls, Endpoint/DLP solutions.
• Proficiency in preparing and controlling operational budget.
• Extensive experience implementing and managing operational plans.
• Ability to identify and address performance-related issues.
• Familiarities with how to plan, implement, and monitor KPIs.
• Process transformation and optimization experience.
• Ability to engage and influence at all levels of the business.
• Strong verbal, presentation and written skills.
• Independent problem-solving and self-directing abilities.
