Job Title: Content Writer Team Lead Location: Kolkata Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Content Writer Team Lead with a strong background in SEO-driven content creation . This role will be responsible for managing a team of content writers, overseeing content strategy, and ensuring the production of high-quality, search-optimized content that supports our brand objectives and drives organic growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of in-house and/or freelance content writers to deliver compelling, accurate, and SEO-optimized content. Develop and execute content strategies in collaboration with the SEO and marketing teams. Edit and proofread articles, blog posts, web pages, and other content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to writers. Perform keyword research and SEO analysis to guide content creation and optimization. Collaborate with SEO specialists to monitor content performance and implement improvements. Establish and enforce editorial guidelines , content calendars, and publishing schedules. Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO best practices, content marketing trends, and algorithm updates. Manage content audits to improve or repurpose existing content for better SEO performance. Work with designers and developers as needed to bring content to life visually and functionally. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field. 4+ years of professional content writing experience with at least 12 years in a leadership or team lead role. Proven experience in creating content optimized for search engines (on-page SEO, keyword usage, internal linking, etc.). Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of writing styles and SEO success stories. Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and writing style. Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred: Experience in technical SEO, link-building strategies, or working with AI writing tools. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and UX writing principles. Experience in B2B or SaaS industries.
