Network Administrator

As a Network Administrator at our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our web portal infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security across all servers and network components. To excel in this role, you must have hands-on experience with Linux, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS Cloud Platform, and network security protocols. Possessing relevant industry certifications will further validate your expertise in the field. Your key responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable networks for a high-traffic web portal. You will also be responsible for administering and monitoring physical and virtual servers to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Managing MS SQL Server databases, implementing robust data security policies, and maintaining and optimizing AWS infrastructure will be essential parts of your role. Additionally, you will monitor network traffic, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure disaster recovery and backup procedures are reliable. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field along with at least 3-5 years of proven experience as a Network Administrator in a production web environment. Strong hands-on experience with Windows OS & Linux systems administration, proficient knowledge of managing and securing MS SQL Server environments, and in-depth understanding of AWS Cloud Services are required skills. Familiarity with core networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, and endpoint security tools is also necessary. Preferred certifications for this role include AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent, Microsoft Certified: Azure/Windows Server or MS SQL Certification, CompTIA Network+ or Security+, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). In addition to technical skills, you should possess the ability to work independently, take ownership of critical infrastructure components, demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams, and have a keen attention to detail to ensure secure and efficient IT operations.,
