Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in managing hybrid infrastructure environments , including on-premises data centers and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures across both environments.

Design, implement, and manage hybrid network infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments.
Administer and optimize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, etc.
Manage on-premises network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancers.
Ensure secure connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments (hybrid cloud architecture).
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues across environments.
Implement network security best practices including segmentation, encryption, and access controls.
Collaborate with cloud architects, system admins, and security teams to support infrastructure needs.
Maintain documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network engineering.
3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute).
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.).

Preferred Certifications:

AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty
Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) optional but valuable

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment
