About The Opportunity

A fast-growing IT services and digital transformation consultancy within the Financial Services and Retail sectors is expanding its on-site engineering hub in India. We deliver cloud-native .NET platforms, mission-critical APIs, and scalable Azure solutions for global enterprises demanding high security and performance.Role: .NET Web API DeveloperRole & Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy secure RESTful Web API services using .NET 6/7 and C#.
  • Integrate back-end services with Azure PaaS components such as App Services, Functions, Service Bus, and Key Vault.
  • Optimise database interactions in SQL Server, writing performant queries and stored procedures.
  • Implement unit, integration, and load tests, ensuring over 90% code coverage and low-latency response times.
  • Collaborate with product owners and UI teams to translate user stories into technical tasks, delivering features in two-week sprints.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, monitor releases, and remediate production incidents within SLA.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 3+ years professional experience with C# and .NET Core building Web APIs.
  • Hands-on Azure PaaS deployment (App Services, Functions, Storage, SQL).
  • Expertise in REST standards, JSON serialization, and versioning strategies.
  • Strong SQL Server optimisation and query tuning skills.
  • Proficiency with Git, pull-request reviews, and automated testing frameworks.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of microservices patterns, DDD, and message-driven architecture.
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service or container orchestration.
