Key Responsibilities 1. Creative Leadership Lead the development of unique and innovative dcor concepts tailored to client vision and cultural requirements. Create advanced design boards, 3D layouts, and detailed dcor presentations. Set design standards, colour palettes, and overall aesthetic direction for premium weddings. 2. Client Management Conduct high-level consultations with clients and families to understand expectations and preferences. Provide strategic creative guidance and recommend dcor options, materials, and thematic elements. Present proposals, negotiate dcor scope, and maintain strong long-term client relationships. 3. Project Planning & Coordination Oversee dcor planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for multiple weddings simultaneously. Coordinate with vendors such as florists, prop makers, lighting teams, furniture rental companies, and venue management. Conduct detailed site inspections and ensure designs are feasible within venue and logistical constraints. 4. Execution & Supervision Lead on-site installation of dcor setups, ensuring high-quality finishing and timely delivery. Supervise junior planners, assistants, and labour teams. Solve real-time setup challenges and maintain design integrity under pressure. Ensure safe, efficient set-up and dismantling operations. 5. Vendor & Inventory Management Build and maintain strong vendor networks for dcor materials and speciality items. Approve procurement lists, ensure material quality, and manage inventory flow. Oversee stock maintenance, repairs, storage, and rotational use of dcor assets. 6. Administrative & Reporting Prepare contracts, quotations, design documentation, and closing reports. Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective dcor execution. Maintain accurate files, timelines, and post-event debrief records. Skills & Qualifications Essential Skills Expert-level knowledge of wedding dcor, floral design, drapery, stage concepts, lighting aesthetics, and thematic styling. Strong leadership and team-management capabilities. Advanced project management, budgeting, and negotiation skills. High-level creative design ability, with a strong portfolio of premium weddings. Strong communication, presentation, and client-handling skills. Technical Expertise Ability to create design boards, sketches, and layouts (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or 3D tools preferred). Knowledge of fabrication materials, scenic construction, and trending wedding dcor techniques. Understanding of logistics, safety protocols, and venue regulations. Qualifications Degree/Diploma in Event Management, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or related field (preferred). Minimum 8+ years of experience in wedding dcor or event design, including leadership experience.
