Our Customer is a Leading bank in Australia that provides a front to back integrated platform for straight-through processing and risk management.This is a multi-year initiative where different projects run in concurrence under the program's variety milestones. These streams include new product initiatives, new entity roll-outs, and regulatory compliance.We will have key roles in projects such as managing the scope, design, and delivering requirements from front to back office with Excelian.We are looking for talented and ambitious people. The roles are in the respective Functional, Test Management, Development, Test Support, Environment Management and Release teams. These units will collectively undertake scoping, design, building, testing, and implementation phases to deliver the variety program milestones.Looking for an experienced technical business analyst for the core Treasury IT team to deliver projects for the bank's treasury division for the business with a focus on Commodities, FX, and MM products.
Responsibilities
The Senior Technical Business Analyst role looks after business engagement, functional requirements, solution design, and some system configuration for delivery of the migration projects.
Gather and analyze business requirements for front office/pre-trade workflows in Murex.
Configure and support pre-trade workflows, including trade capture, validation, pricing, and booking in Murex 3.1.
Work on pricing setup, product templates, market data, and pre-trade checks.
Provide front-office support to traders and sales for trade booking issues, pricing discrepancies, and data setup queries.
Design and execute test scenarios for new instrument setup, product changes, and system upgrades.
Collaborate with development, integration, and downstream teams for end-to-end flow testing (FO BO Risk Datamart).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to trade capture, market data feeds, UDFs, and trade enrichment.
Prepare functional documentation, configuration guides, and user training materials.
Participate in upgrades, regression testing, and migration projects (e.g., Sybase to Postgres, Murex patch upgrades. Skills
Must have
6 to 8 years of experience as a Murex functional consultant, with at least 4+ years in Pre-Trade/Front Office
Strong knowledge of Murex 3.1 FO modules
Trade capture workflows
Pricing configuration (curves, vol surfaces, generators)
Market data setup
Pre-trade validation rules
Good understanding of financial products (e.g., FX, MM, IRD, Fixed Income, Equities)
Familiarity with risk measures (PV, Greeks, sensitivities) and FO risk reporting
Hands-on experience with Murex static data setup (counterparties, portfolios, books)
Knowledge of databases (SQL) for trade/market data queries
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and defect management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to liaise with traders, BAs, and IT support teams Nice to have
Exposure to BO and Risk modules (confirmation, settlements, VaR, sensitivities).
Experience in MxML workflows and pre-trade interfaces.
Knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance checks (MiFID II, EMIR, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud migration and DB migration projects (Sybase Postgres).
Scripting skills (UNIX shell, Python) for test automation or data validation.
