Job Description

You will be responsible for customs declaration document preparation, direct contact with customs authorities, and solving all issues related to the filled declarations. You will orchestrate the customs-related process with all involved parties, including planning, procurement, and transport, to ensure smooth customs/tax movement of goods. Your main responsibilities will include preparing and filling UK export declarations, transit documents for UK exports, and Supplementary Declaration for UK imports. You will monitor shipment progress, resolve any customs documentation issues, control the process of exits, and be in contact with Customs Authorities. Additionally, you will manage and control customs declarations from a legal and compliance perspective, perform data quality checks on submitted declarations, and work 24/7 shifts with stand-by duty hours during post-working hours (nights and weekends). To excel in this role, you should have experience in customs, foreign trade, logistics, finance, planning, or procurement. Proficiency in Excel and basic knowledge of customs processes are required. Good communication skills in English, both oral and written, are essential for efficient communication with all levels of management and peers. Knowledge of SAP & SAP GTS is advantageous, and a university degree (minimum Bachelor) is preferred. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and independent with strong problem-solving skills. A good understanding of supply chain and supply planning business drivers, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work under time pressure and quickly set priorities are desired qualities.
