Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and development of new products based on defined design rules
Product portfolio extension and transfer activities
Cost reduction of existing products
Characterization and approval of new material approvals
Support in the qualification and approvals of new suppliers for existing materials
Support operations for handling quality issues
Perform design calculations, simulations based on design guideline
Creation of models, drawings, prototypes, product sample preparation
Co-ordination with mechanical team on various design aspects
Maintenance of design documentation, TDR and updating through periodic revisions
Prepare Bill of materials (BOM)
Understands automotive mindset and can cater to automotive design and development methods.
Lead and support the production and product launch
Co-ordination with other departments like (production, process engineering, quality, customer service, accounting, etc)

for effective outcomes in terms of execution time and quality.

Address customer specific enquiries, it includes
Develop and deliver customized products/materials needed.
Customer specific test requirements
Specifications, declarations, PPAP, etc
Robustness and Robust validation of existing products
Strict adherence to QM requirements which includes ensuring Change management, APQP and SRP documentation
Effective handling of UL, VDE, CQC, BIS, IATF audits and its requirements
