When it comes to people, we think the whole is greater than its parts and that everyone has a role to play in the success!  Role: As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (NLP), you will play a key role in designing, developing, leveraging and deploying advanced machine learning and deep learning solutions. You will focus on building scalable NLP models and dialogue systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven features that enhance the customer experience for millions of users. 

What you will do:

 

• Design and implement machine learning and deep learning models to solve a variety of problems, with a focus on natural language processing. 

• Build multi-domain and multi-lingual dialogue systems for task-oriented conversational agents, supporting dynamic and personalized customer interactions. 

• Translate user stories and business requirements into technical solutions by building quick prototypes or proof-of-concepts, and convert these into scalable, production-grade solutions. 

• Evaluate and select off-the-shelf components versus building custom solutions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Own delivery of features from concept to code to production, following best practices in development and CI/CD. 

• Develop tools and libraries to enable rapid and scalable ML development for future use cases. 

• Work closely with product owners, data engineers, and other team members to deliver innovative AI solutions 

You are a successful candidate if you

 

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and technical acumen. 

• Have 4+ years of experience as ML engineer, with hands-on experience delivering products or solutions utilizing NLP. 

• Possess deep expertise in a range of deep learning architectures, including transformers, RNNs/CNNs, and transfer learning, with a proven track record of delivering value in real-world production environments. 

• Have a solid understanding of Agentic Architectures and Large Language Models (LLMs). 

• Are highly proficient in Python. 

• Are fluent in one or more major ML libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. 

• Have substantial experience deploying solutions to production, with hands-on experience in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure). 

• Hold a degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or bring equivalent experience and skills—at Toyota Connected India, we value talent and practical expertise above formal qualifications.
