Role Overview

The MIS Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining management information reports and dashboards. The role requires strong analytical ability, advanced Excel/VBA automation skills, Power BI dashboard development, and basic to intermediate Python knowledge for data processing. The ideal candidate will work closely with business teams to convert raw data into meaningful insights, ensure data accuracy, and support decision-making through automated reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Build and maintain daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Automate recurring reports and processes using Excel VBA Macros or Python.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of MIS outputs to stakeholders.

2. Data Management & Analysis

• Extract, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources (Excel, databases, ERP, SAP, etc.).
• Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions.

3. Automation & Optimization

• Create automated tools using Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, VBA).
• Develop Python scripts for data processing, file handling, and advanced automation.
• Optimize existing reports, dashboards, and processes to enhance efficiency.

4. Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work with operations, finance, HR, and management teams to understand reporting requirements.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data.
• Support audits, business reviews, and strategic planning with relevant data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas, dashboards.
• VBA/Macros: Automation of reports, data cleaning, user forms (optional).
• Power BI: DAX, data modeling, Power Query, interactive dashboards.
• Python: Pandas, NumPy, automation scripts (optional but preferred).

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Engineering, or related fields
