MIS Analyst

Role & responsibilities:

MIS Development & Maintenance

• Design, implement, and maintain MIS systems aligned with business goals.
• Oversee data collection processes, ensuring optimal data accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
• Develop and refine system workflows to improve data integration across departments.

Reporting & Analytics

• Create and manage dynamic reports and dashboards for business leaders and stakeholders.
• Conduct statistical and trend analyses to support data-driven strategic decisions.
• Automate recurring reports and analytics tools to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Present insights and performance metrics in a clear, compelling manner to management teams.

Data Management

• Ensure integrity, completeness, and security of all organizational data assets.
• Collaborate with departmental heads to define and prioritize reporting requirements.
• Supervise database management including backups, access controls, and disaster recovery plans.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards and procedures.

Coordination & Collaboration

• Partner with IT, Finance, Sales, Operations, and HR teams for seamless data flow across systems.
• Provide technical guidance, user training, and continuous support for MIS tools.
• Work closely with vendors or consultants on software implementation or upgrades when needed.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, database management, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Experience with ERP systems and workflow automation tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics and automation (preferred).
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex data in simple, actionable terms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction and cross-functional teamwork.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in MIS management, business intelligence, or analytics roles.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
