We are a data-driven, high-growth ecommerce company and are looking for a strong Inventory & Supply Chain professional to streamline stock, reduce overstock/stockouts, and support scalable growth. Role Overview The Inventory & Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for end-to-end inventory planning, production planning and stock management across factories, central warehouse and marketplace fulfillment centers. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the right product is available at the right place, in the right quantity, at the right time – while keeping working capital and ageing stock under control. Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory Planning & Control Build and manage SKU-level inventory plans for all key product categories (bed sheets, curtains, comforters, etc.). Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid both stockouts and overstocking across warehouse and marketplace FCs. Define and regularly review reorder levels, safety stock, and MOQ for SKUs based on demand patterns. Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory , suggest liquidation/discounting plans and prevent dead stock build-up. Run regular ageing inventory reports (30 / 60 / 90 / 180+ days) and take action with sales/marketing & production teams. 2. Demand Forecasting & Sales Alignment Analyze historical sales, seasonality, events & promotions to prepare monthly and quarterly demand forecasts. Coordinate with Marketplace, Sales & Marketing teams to understand upcoming campaigns and sales targets. Translate sales plans into production and purchase plans with clear timelines and quantities. 3. Production Planning & Coordination Prepare production plans for in-house and outsourced units based on demand and current inventory. Share weekly / monthly production schedules with factories and vendors. 4. Marketplace & Channel Stock Planning Plan and review FBA / marketplace FC inventory (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) – avoid stockouts on fast-moving SKUs. Monitor fill rate, order cancellations due to OOS , and coordinate replenishments on time. Ensure SKU-wise stock visibility is correct across platforms to prevent overselling. 5. Reporting & Analytics Build daily / weekly / monthly MIS reports on inventory, production, stock health and service levels. Track and present key metrics like inventory turns, DOH (days of holding), fill rate, OTIF, stockout %, ageing stock , etc. Use Excel / Google Sheets / ERP/WMS reports to analyze patterns and recommend process improvements . Key KPIs / Success Metrics Reduction in overstock and dead inventory Improvement in inventory turns & DOH Reduction in stockouts on key SKUs across channels On-time production completion vs plan Improvement in order fill rate & OTIF Accuracy between system stock vs physical stock Qualifications Graduate in Any Discipline (B.Com / BBA / BE / B.Tech etc.) MBA / PGDM in Operations / Supply Chain is a plus (not mandatory). Experience 3–7 years experience in Inventory / Supply Chain / Production Planning role. Experience in E-commerce / FMCG / Retail / Textile / Home Furnishing preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical skills and high comfort with numbers. Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas). Experience with ERP / WMS / inventory tools (e.g., SAP B1, Tally, Zoho, NetSuite, etc.) preferred. Good understanding of demand forecasting, inventory modelling, and supply chain basics . Strong coordination skills – able to work with production, purchase, warehouse and marketplace teams. Detail-oriented, disciplined, and proactive in identifying and solving problems.
