Mining Engineer

Job Summary:

The Mining Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of minerals. The role involves technical evaluations, feasibility studies, mine design, and coordination with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets while complying with environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geological and geotechnical studies to determine mining potential.
• Design open-pit or underground mine layouts, drilling, blasting, and excavation plans.
• Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and mine development strategies.
• Monitor mine production to ensure adherence to schedules and targets.
• Supervise drilling, blasting, hauling, and other mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Optimize mining processes for maximum productivity and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with geologists, surveyors, metallurgists, and equipment teams.
• Implement sustainable mining practices and waste management systems.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and mine plans using specialized software.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mining methods, geology, and mine design.
• Proficiency in mining software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine, AutoCAD, MineScape).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certifications (if applicable, e.g., DGMS Competency Certificate in India).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level roles may require internships or training experience).

Work Environment:

• Work may involve remote mining sites, both open-pit and underground.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Travel and extended site presence may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
