About the Role

Lab and Pilot-Scale Critical Mineral Processing, Testing, and Training Facility

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant & Laboratory Operations

• Lead day-to-day operations of the mineral processing lab and pilot plant.
• Supervise crushing, grinding, screening, classification, gravity separation, flotation, and hydrometallurgical processes.
• Oversee material handling, sampling procedures, assay preparation, and test-work execution.
• Ensure accurate data collection, process documentation, and test reporting.

2. Process Development & Optimization

• Design, execute, and analyze test-work programs for beneficiation of critical minerals.
• Optimize process parameters to improve grade, recovery, and throughput.
• Perform metallurgical balances, mass flow calculations, and process simulations.
• Support scale-up activities from lab to pilot plant.

3. R&D & Technical Support

• Collaborate with researchers, scientists, and engineering teams on new process technologies.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot processing challenges, equipment issues, and quality deviations.
• Develop SOPs, test methods, and quality control protocols.

4. Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Conduct training sessions for technicians, engineers, and trainees on mineral processing practices.
• Mentor junior staff on sampling, test-work, equipment handling, and safety procedures.
• Support development of training modules and demonstration exercises.

5. Safety, Compliance & Maintenance

• Ensure strict adherence to EHS guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Implement and enforce safe handling of chemicals, ores, and waste streams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum

  12 years

  of experience in mineral processing, beneficiation, hydrometallurgy, or critical mineral extraction.
• Hands-on experience with pilot-scale or commercial processing plants.
• Deep knowledge of critical mineral value chains (Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel, Graphite, Rare Earths, etc.).
• Proficiency in metallurgical testing, data analysis, and process optimization.
• Experience in supervising teams and operating processing equipment.
