Microsoft Power Platform Developer (PowerApps/Power Automate/Power Pages/Power Virtual Agents)

Role Description

Microsoft Power Platform Developer

Skills

Key Responsibilities

Application Development
:

Design and build custom applications using
PowerApps
(Canvas and Model-Driven Apps) to meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain websites and portals using
Power Pages
with secure integration to backend data.

Workflow Automation
:

Implement workflows and process automations using
Power Automate
(Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows, and Business Process Flows).
Leverage robotic process automation (RPA) for repetitive tasks and data handling.

Chatbot Creation
:

Build and configure intelligent chatbots using
Power Virtual Agents
to improve customer and employee engagement.

Data Integration and Management
:

Utilize
Microsoft Dataverse
to create, manage, and secure the data environment for Power Platform solutions.
Connect and integrate data sources using pre-built and custom
Connectors
to ensure seamless interoperability with third-party systems.

AI Capabilities
:

Integrate and utilize
AI Builder
to enhance solutions with artificial intelligence, including form processing, object detection, sentiment analysis, and predictive analytics.

Collaboration and Requirement Gathering
:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs, identify pain points, and recommend suitable Power Platform solutions.
Provide training and documentation for end-users and technical teams.

Maintenance and Support
:

Monitor and troubleshoot Power Platform applications, workflows, and integrations to ensure performance and availability.
Implement updates and improvements to existing solutions.

Security and Compliance
:

Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise security and compliance policies.
Implement role-based access and governance strategies to safeguard data integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform tools: PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power Virtual Agents, Microsoft Dataverse, AI Builder, and Connectors.
Hands-on experience with integration across data sources like SharePoint, SQL Server, Dynamics 365, and external APIs.
Strong understanding of Power Platform development languages such as PowerFX, JSON, and REST API.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, Azure ecosystem, and security frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering user-friendly and scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., PL-100, PL-200, PL-400).
Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
Knowledge of process optimization and business analysis methodologies.
