Microbiologist

As a Microbiologist at our company, you will be responsible for conducting various microbiological testing procedures and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting microbiological testing such as sterility testing, microbial limits testing, bioburden assessment, and environmental monitoring. - Isolating, identifying, and characterizing microorganisms using biochemical, molecular, and microscopic techniques. - Preparing, sterilizing, and validating culture media, reagents, and laboratory equipment. - Ensuring adherence to GMP, GLP, ISO, FDA, and WHO guidelines. - Maintaining accurate documentation, test reports, SOPs, and laboratory records. - Investigating out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results and implementing corrective actions. - Supporting method development, validation, and verification activities. - Participating in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and quality improvement initiatives. - Training and mentoring junior staff and laboratory technicians. - Following biosafety, waste management, and laboratory safety procedures. In addition, you should possess the following skills and competencies: - Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and aseptic practices. - Experience with environmental monitoring programs. - Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and laboratory documentation. - Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as autoclaves, incubators, laminar airflow cabinets, and PCR systems. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of relevant laboratory experience. This is a full-time position located in person.
