Job Role : Manager - Tire designer - OTRDepartments: Technology and R&DLocation : MumbaiReports To : Lead - OTR Product development.1: Job Purpose Statement

The purpose of this role is to tire designing of all steel category for new product as per market requirement. The person should be able to perform the required activity for new product design & improvement in existing product as per market feedback.

2: Duties & Responsibilities :

Cavity , Layout preparation, Pattern drawing
Manufacturing specification, EPR review
Technical document preparation, Communication with PM team.
Responsible for New design Proposal making & DEPR approval.
Should be capable of Study tire testing results & analysis.
Claim/ fail tyre analysis
Benchmarking process
Person should travel to plant as per requirement to smoothly execution of new tire development.

3: Key Result Areas

New product designing & manufacturing Specification at given time frame.
Proto/pilot result review time & feedback to plant.
Design standardization/ simplification in segment.

4: Educational Qualification

B.Tech, M.Tech

5: Skills & Knowledge

Good understanding of Basics of Mechanical Engineering.
Tire Design and development experience preferably in all steel.
Tire, manufacturing process/ technical knowledge of all steel tire.
Working experience in plant will be an added advantage.

6: Behavioral Competencies

Eagerness for skill upgradation
Entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to take initiative

Around 03-06 years

8: Functional

AutoCAD
Unigraphics /CATIA.3D Experience
Knowledge of DFMEA & design tools
Exposure to PLM software.
MS office (Excel & power point )

Candidate required for tire designing of all steel category for new product as per market requirement. The person should be able to perform the required activity for new product design & improvement in existing product as per market feedback.
